That night, Lola and Quinn are playing rock'em sock'em robots and talking to
Zoey about the wrestling team. Quinn thinks it is a good idea. When Lola thinks about
it a little bit - the idea of wrestling with muscular guys - she kind of
likes the idea! Zoey mentions that the matches are on the PCA TV channel,
and Lola wants to be on - but then thinks that she wouldn't look good drenched in
sweat. Quinn wins the game - Lola steals her robot and runs off with it! Quinn
chases her down the hall.

At the PCA gym - the boys' wrestling team is in the middle of practice matches.
Zoey walks in, and Logan challenges her being there. Zoey answers him
sarcastically - then tells him she was asked to be on the team. Logan is
very upset and accuses her of ruining first the basketball team and now the
wrestling team. Zoey reminds him they were division finalists the year before.

The coach enters. Instead of having Zoey practice wrestling with the boys,
he puts her into a training program to build her strength - he explains that
the boys have been training for the past 9 weeks, she has some catching up
to do. Zoey is irritated but goes to jump rope.

Outside on the campus, Jeremiah Trottman of the PCA news channel is working
on his laptop, when Lola comes and joins him. She wants to be a reporter,
but in spite of her flirting - Jeremiah turns her down.

Back at the gym, Zoey is arguing with the coach - who tells her she can only
wrestle when she reaches the same level of conditioning as the boys. A
"Rocky-like" series of scenes ensues - with Zoey conditioning while the boys
wrestle.

At the end of two weeks in wrestling class, Zoey is stiff and sore - Quinn
and Lola are tending to her in the dorm room. Quinn massaging her shoulders
and Lola her feet. Zoey doesn't want to give Logan the satisfaction of
quitting. Lola is still upset at not being on the PCA news. Lola and Quinn's
fingers are cramping, so she calls in the "second team": Chase and Michael.
Chase gets the shoulders and Michael the feet.

Outdoors - the coach is talking with the wrestling team. He is a certifiable
half wit - who thinks the moon not falling is evidence for aliens! Zoey joins
them, and the coach finally promises her that she will wrestle - at an upcoming
tournament. She will also be bumped up to first string in her bracket, which
displaces one of the boys named Scotty. They all leave except for Zoey and
Scotty, who tells her not to be so happy. She will have to wrestle a MONSTER
named Chuck Javers. Scotty tells her to ask the coach for a tape of last
year's tournament.

Zoey does just that - and Chuck is ruthless and quick in defeating opponents.
Michael, Logan, and Chase are watching in horror as Chuck attacks not only
his opponent, but also the camera guy!

It is the day of the big tournament. Everybody is warming up. Chuck is
shoving people. He notices Zoey. Jeremiah Trottman is at the broadcast
table with his partner Dooley Thibidaux. Lola is seated with Quinn, and she
is still obsessing about being on television. Quinn tells her to wait there,
she is going to do - things. The mischievous look on her face says it all!

During a break in the newscast, Quinn interrupts Dooley, and ushers him away
from the broadcast table.

The coach calls the team together for a pre tournament meeting and morale
booster.

Quinn returns to her seat, and tells Lola that Jeremiah needs a new partner!
Dooley won't be back for few hours - Lola asks what she did, but Quinn tells
her she really doesn't want to know!

The match proceeds with two wrestlers, as Michael and Chase arrive. They go
over to Zoey to encourage her.

Jeremiah sent someone to look for Dooley - no luck. Lola comes up to get the
job, Jeremiah reluctantly agrees. It is obvious she not only doesn't know
sports, she may not even know TV terms!

Kids in the PCA lounge watch as Zoey is about to wrestle her first opponent -
cheering for her. Jeremiah asks Lola for stats on Zoey, she answers with Zoey's
favorite color, animals, and food!

There is a problem. Zoey's opponent won't wrestle her. If he wins, he will be
a jerk for beating up a girl. If he loses, he will get ribbed for life for
losing to a girl. He forfeits - Zoey advances to the next round! But Zoey is
irritated - the coach congratulates her.

Chuck Javers' first match comes up next. Jeremiah mentions he is undefeated in
74 matches, Lola that he needs hair products!

Chuck demolishes opponent after opponent, while Zoey advances because her opponents
forfeit. Chuck is the model of poor sportsmanship. But Lola says he has delicious
arms!

Not surprisingly, Javers ends up in the final match against Zoey. He makes it
very clear he isn't going to forfeit. He steals Chase's drink, then breaks Quinn's
glasses when she speaks up for Zoey.

The coach tries to bench Zoey due to "injury" - but his plan is now crystal
clear - he wanted to keep Scotty rested so he would have a chance against
the powerful Javers. She is extremely upset, and insists on fighting. Dooley
shows back up - talking about how some "psycho girl" knocked him out with purple
mist, then handcuffed him to a flag pole! Lola beats a hasty retreat.

Chuck won't even shake hands with Zoey - it gets silent - then Quinn interrupts

the silence and tells her to kick his butt for breaking her glasses. Everybody

starts cheering for the underdog - Zoey. The whistle blows ---

Zoey wakes up in the PCA infirmary. All her friends except Logan are there,
looking down at her. She - lost = in 3 to 4 seconds. Javers picked her up
and slammed her on the mat head first. Michael tells her that Logan told
Javers off in the parking lot after the tournament! Zoey thinks it was sweet
and, as she gets up, she sees Logan in the next bed, moaning in pain with a
broken ankle. He waves - painfully, and gives her thumbs up!

Closing line - none

ANALYSIS:

Chase is right. The world's largest pumpkin weighed 1502 pounds. The world's

heaviest man weighed 1200 pounds.

The rock'em sock'em robots were out of production for a long time, but have
recently been re-introduced. It would not surprise me, however, if Dan
collected such things and let them use one of the original sets.

I may be making too much of an accidental symbol - but the rock'em sock'em

robots could be a foreshadowing of what will happen to Zoey and Logan.

Continuity - Jeremiah Trottman talks about what he does at PCA - he mentions
"high profile injuries" - an obvious reference to Dean Rivers' injury in
"Hot Dean."

The announcer in the tape of last year's tournament is series creator Dan
Schneider.

There is a very creative camera scene at the beginning of the second half when
the camera focuses under a skate, and then the skater takes off as the camera
rises.

I don't know if this is just a coincidence or not - but the co-anchor Quinn
ushers off the stage is named "Dooley" - in real life, she is friends with
Taylor Dooley - known for her role as "Lava Girl."

The tournament announcer is Dan Schneider.

Continuity - the purple mist Quinn used to knock out Dooley was undoubtedly the
nerve gas from "Zoey's Tutor."

This episode is one of the very finest performances by Victoria Justice. I
still am speculating that some of her traits have been added to adjust her
character to make her more like Nicole. Victoria is handling these
adjustments to her character with ease.

This episode is also touching - in that Logan continues to evolve into a more
caring human being. Initially against Zoey being on the wrestling team, he
now came to her defense - even in the light of almost certain beating. The
Logan of old would be mad because she ruined the coach's strategy. The new
Logan stands up for his friends - taking a beating for Chase in Vince Blake and
now Zoey. Logan is becoming one of the more complex - and likeable characters
on the show. Character change and development like this is usually only
found in high end literature. Stay tuned!
