In the boys’ room, Logan is going through pictures of himself to put in the time capsule.  Michael and Chase are sick of it, especially one of Logan with underarm hair!  Chase and Michael are recording a song for the time capsule - and Logan makes up a lame love lyric for Zoey.  Chase almost writes it down!

Zoey is making a video about herself and her friends.  A janitor is in the background, and gets more and more intrusive until he actually asks to be in it.  Zoey starts over - we don't hear much about what she says.

Nicole is going through her clothes to see which ones she could put in the time capsule.  She wants to prove to the future that she was stylish!  She asks Lola for advice, but Lola is clearly irritated by it.  Nicole asks Lola what she will put in the capsule, and she says "nothing" – the future will know about her when she is famous.  Lola shuts off the light to stop Nicole from rummaging through the clothes.  But the light doesn't stay off long!  Quinn is snoring, and it can be heard through the wall.  Lola bangs on the wall, but Quinn complains that the banging is waking her up.

The next day, Chase and Zoey are talking about the time capsule.  Zoey talks about her video - with thoughts about friends.  Chase tries to get her to admit what she said about him - but she won't tell.  He has to wait 20 years!

In the boys’ room, Michael and Chase are working on a song for the time capsule.  Logan - never one to pass up an opportunity to needle Chase about his crush on Zoey - reminds him that, if Zoey's DVD gets buried, it will be 20 years before he can find out what she said.

That night, Quinn is snoring again.  Nicole comes in the room – only to find her sleeping upside down, suspended by her ankles!  Quinn thought for sure that would stop the snoring, but since it didn't, she asks Nicole to let her down (how did she get up there in the first place?).  Nicole trips the release, and Quinn falls on her head into a crumpled heap on the floor – but she is OK.  Nicole says "sorry" in her trademark way --- and agrees to help Quinn with the snoring problem.

At the time capsule burying - here are the items the students choose:

- Nicole: her fashions

- Logan: a picture of himself, with the signature "dear hot girls of the future, you're welcome"

- Zoey: the DVD

- Michael and Chase: their song

Then comes Lola, who goes into a crying act.  It was going to be a locket her grandmother gave her before she died, but she can't bear to part with it.  She would have nothing left of her grandmother's.  Mr. Bender falls for it, and since she gave thought to the assignment, she gets full credit.  When Lola passes Zoey and Nicole, she tells them it was an act.  The time capsule is then buried.

Logan needles Chase some more about the time capsule before they all go to bed.  Later that night, it is raining, the music is creepy.  Michael is sound asleep, but Chase is tossing and turning with a dream.  He dreams of himself as an adult - and it is 20 years later.  He has the DVD and plays it on his futuristic entertainment system.  It has a hologram mode, and Zoey starts talking - but ---

Michael wakes him up, and wants to borrow an extra pillow.  Chase is frantic about the dream, and tries to get back to it.  But it doesn't work, the moment is gone.  He drags Michael out into the rain to go dig up the time capsule!  After an hour, Chase gets the DVD!

Nicole and Quinn are in Quinn's room.  Nothing has stopped the snoring yet.  Quinn has an idea, some rare South African guppies secrete a slime that will open up her nasal cavities.  But, she has to inhale the fish up her nose!  Nicole is horribly grossed out - the most disturbing moment of her life.

Michael is asleep again in the boy's room.  Chase puts the DVD in his computer and starts watching.  Zoey talks about really liking Nicole as a best friend, then goes on to talk about Chase as the coolest, funniest, (nicest?) – then Chase abruptly pauses the DVD.  He wakes up Michael to ask if it is wrong to watch the DVD.  Michael asks "does it feel wrong?"  And if it does, he doesn't need to ask.  Chase turns off the paused DVD and puts it away.

The next morning, Nicole and Quinn are sound asleep.  Zoey and Lola walk in and tell them they overslept.  The fish worked!  Quinn blows them out of her nose; miraculously they are still alive.  Coco walks in - she has been eating sticky peanut butter.  She starts telling them about a late night TV show joke, and chokes.  Seeing the glass of water but not the fish in it, she grabs the water and drinks it down in one gulp - ignoring the girls who are trying to warn her.  Once Coco finishes the water, the girls don't tell her about the fish!

Outside, Zoey is on her Jet-X and passes Chase, who has fallen asleep on the lawn.  She stops and goes over to Chase, and ties his shoe laces together!  Then she wakes him up.  She has decided that it was mean to make him wait 20 years to find out what she said about him.  She will tell him in 10 years!  She runs to get on her Jet-X, as Chase gets up and tries to run after – but his laces are tied together and he can barely hobble around.

Closing line - (Quinn's snoring)

ANALYSIS

There are several major story arcs in this series.  One of the main story arcs is Chase's crush on the beautiful Zoey.  This episode marks the first time that we see Zoey actually flirting back with Chase - an indication that she likes him as well.  Although we saw strong evidence of it on the "School Dance" episode 1.12 when she forgave him very quickly.  Zoey is smart – too smart not to be aware of the crush.

Lola is developed further as a character.  It is clear that she will have some negative traits as well as positive.  Specifically, she uses her acting talents to get out of an assignment.  We also see some friction between her and Nicole - although not to the extent that it was with Dana.  Character development for Lola will, of necessity, continue for a while.

Chase could have some serious consequences if Zoey ever finds that DVD in his stuff.  Logan could also get hold of it and use it to blackmail him.  His best course of action would be to go out and dig up the time capsule again to return it.

We see some more of Quinn's new room.  The cluttered laboratory environment of last season has been replaced by a futuristic, spacious, clean environment.

We learn a bit of back story on Mr. Bender.  He was a former PCA student in the 80's.

There is a minor story arc on Nicole and Logan.  It starts with her giving him a big smile in early episodes, only to be disgusted by him in later episodes.  This happens again when she sees that he puts a picture of himself in the time capsule.  Normally - you would think Logan would go for a cute girl like her - but he has shown no sign of asking her out.  Can it be that he, too, has a crush on Zoey to the point of overlooking an equally cute alternative?

We see quite a bit of flexibility in Quinn.  Not many girls can do overhead
splits.  I am guessing that Erin has taken gymnastics.
