Zoey is with Dustin, he
promised to help Zoey move in, but some boys
ask him to join them. He refuses at first, but they are with some
girls - he takes off.
Chase sees Zoey - and takes his yearly fall. He greets her briefly,
but is in the race with Logan and Michael.
Zoey goes to the dorm room and sees Lola. Lola takes the top bunk.
Zoey tells Lola Nicole isn't coming back. Nicole was diagnosed with
OMGD - "Obsessive Male Gender Disorder" - (boy crazy) during the
summer. Now she is at an all girls' school.
Chase gets to a dorm room and thinks he got the single bed, but is
in the wrong dorm!
He hauls himself and his stuff to his real dorm - Maxwell Hall.
The girls are in the lounge - they see Quinn arguing with Coco, the
dorm advisor. She put Quinn in room 36D - but that was the bra size
she ordered online! Quinn needs a room - so Coco puts her in with
Zoey and Lola. They try to tell Coco - no - but she doesn't pick up
on it.
Chase makes it to the right home, to find Logan and Michael sitting
on the single bed arguing over it. Chase tells them to find some
other way to decide --- then Michael asks Chase - did he tell her yet?
Quinn has a vat of colored liquid and chicken. Zoey and Lola want
ground rules about dangerous experiments. Chase joins them - finds
out Quinn is their new roommate - and he knows about Nicole's OMGD.
Quinn also has a bee sanctuary for fresh honey. Chase looks at
Quinn's chicken parts. He leaves - needing to talk to Zoey alone
later. Lola and Quinn tell Zoey Chase is going to tell her he loves
her. Zoey doesn't believe it. The whole school knows - they grab a
girl out of the hall who knows. They were waiting for her to catch
on. She leaves - mad - to eat lunch alone.
Logan and Michael have a hot pepper eating contest to decide the
single bed.
Chase meets Zoey for lunch - she was a lifeguard all summer. He is
about to tell her - when predictably, Logan and Michael end up
drinking out of a fountain. Chase suggests boxing - and Lola calls
Zoey with some sort of emergency.
Quinn is chasing bees with a net when Zoey comes in. Lola is
cowering under a blanket. She accidentally knocked over the bee
sanctuary. Zoey heads to the closet.
Logan and Michael are boxing - naturally, Logan tries a sucker
punch. They go after it!!!
Coco comes in and sees the bees, they immediately go after her - she
has some food!
Michael and Logan are pretty much evenly matched. Dustin stops
them - and suggests flipping a coin. Michael wins! Logan knocks him
out!
Coco desperately wants in the closet with Zoey - and still doesn't
want to drop her food. She runs out in the hall, and the bees leave
with her! She is running down a sidewalk with them in pursuit!
They ask Zoey what Chase said. Zoey said he didn't. Zoey is so
aggravated, she goes to confront him.
Zoey is walking along - Coco is still being attacked by bees. She
goes to Chase's room - and finds him making out with Rebecca. Chase
introduces her as his girlfriend. The look on her face shows it all.
Closing line: Lola and Quinn: "I love it" "Me too" (about Zoey
confronting Chase).
ANALYSIS:
This episode does not contain any footage of Alexa Nikolas as Nicole.
Originally, she was expected to be in the episode. They shot two
alternative versions of why Nicole was no longer at PCA. One
version, reported widely, was that Nicole was in a bad accident. And
a scene showed her with her face all bandaged. The other version was
that Nicole had OMGD, which, by the way, could stand for: "Oh My
G_D"! But they made up the acronym "Obsessive Male Gender
Disorder." Nicole was sent to an all girls' school to recover.
Strangely, she may appear in just that setting as "Tiffany" on "The
Suite Life of Zack and Cody." The "OMGD" version was selected,
because it was more fun, more in keeping with the light, fun, feeling
of the show. Nicole is a very popular character, the shock of her
beautiful face being disfigured would alienate her fan base.
So - why did Alexa leave? We - the insiders to the show - cast,
cast parents, crew, extras, extra parents, fan club moderators - all
those that love Zoey 101, have the inside story. We think, with a
united voice, that it is better for the show, for the cast, and for
you NOT to know the whole truth. It is something like Steve Irwin's
final resting place - a private matter that you don't need to know in
order to love the show. Please don't email about it, we cannot give
you the full explanation. Some of us are bound by non-disclosure
agreements, others by loyalty and love of the show, or loyalty and
love for Alexa. Nobody is bound by fear of Jamie. Please don't
speculate further - the door is open for Alexa to return to the show,
as demonstrated in the plot of this episode. Just as it is still open
for Kristin to return as Dana. We do not know if either will happen -
but both are unlikely. If either did happen, it would most likely
be a guest starring appearance. The quality of the scripts, and the
superb acting talents of Erin Sanders and Victoria Justice are making
the show complete - as is - without Nicole.
"But what about ---" Yes, the incident with Britney happened. And
yes, there was some friction between Alexa and Jamie. We will not
comment further on those matters, or their bearing on the show.
Now - on to the analysis, which is much more fun!
Quinn calls Zoey and Lola "roomies" - a reference to first season
episode "New Roomies," where Zoey briefly rooms with her.
The infamous "Lola skirt flip" happens when she jumps off the top
bunk when the bees leave. Sorry, guys - the girls all wear biker
shorts under short skirts, you didn't see panties! Nickelodeon is
very protective of their young stars.
Jamie's expression when he sees Chase and Rebecca kissing is one of
the most important facial expressions she will ever show in her
acting career. It can make or break the entire season. The look on
her face communicates Zoey's secret crush on Chase.
The poster on the outside of the boys' room says "no, not you," when
Zoey barges in to see Chase and Rebecca making out.
