Unfortunately, even
with a school discount - it will cost $5000 to
book Drake. The girls don't have the money,
but soon have the idea
of a fundraiser. Dustin gives the first donation -
Quinn has paid
him $20 to participate in her sleep deprivation
experiment and wear
an anti-sleep bracelet.
The girls organize - Zoey is in charge of a
car wash, Nicole in
charge of a pumpkin smashing booth, Dana in charge of a
bully dunk
tank. Zoey and the boys also sell Drake Bell T-shirts
that she
designed.
The fundraiser goes well, with a lot of
participation - but at the
end of the day they only have a bit over $1000. Zoey
imagines the
type of lame entertainment they could buy for that
money (in a
manner reminiscent of Addie's imagination in Unfabulous).
One of the school administrators shows up in
a sports car. He is
young and wealthy and offers to pay $4000 for a car
wash – because
he is rich and when he went to PCA the entertainment
for Spring
Fling was always lame. The girls have until 5 PM the
next day to
give the car a good wash.
Quinn's sleep deprivation experiment is
going as planned - Dustin is
sleepy, and she tests his reactions to loud noise. His
reaction to
cold is also immediate when she dumps ice down his
pants!
Which they do - except that Zoey unknowingly
slips the transmission
to neutral, and the car rolls away. It crashes into a
light pole on
the driver's front side. Frantically - Zoey calls
Chase and
Michael. The options are very limited - give back the
money, or use
it to fix the car. The mechanic arrives and will
charge them $3500
for the job, promising to deliver it by 5. But Zoey
has already
booked Drake - maybe he will accept less money.
Dustin has been awake for 62 hours
straight. Quinn asks if he is
hallucinating - and he promptly sees her face
distorting, her voice
garbled, bubbles blowing (none of which is happening) -
and then the bracelet goes off again - dealing him yet another painful shock.
The car is late - the girls are frantic -
and they get Chase and
Michael to delay the owner. Chase and Michael
improvise a
ridiculous dance - which is just long enough for the
mechanic to
arrive. Zoey hands him the money and sends him on the
way – they
are short $3500.
Drake's manager will not accept the $1500
and tells the stage crew
to tear it all down. Drake himself arrives to an
enthusiastic hug
by Nicole - and his agent tells him he won't let him
perform for
only $1500. But Drake notices Zoey's T-shirt, and asks
where she
got it. When Zoey explains she designed it herself,
Drake realizes
it is better than the design his agent's girlfriend
came up with -
and offers to play for the rights to the design!
It is the best spring fling ever as Drake
performs for the
students. But Dustin has other plans. He enlists the
aid of a
fellow student with a bolt cutter - and soon the
anti-sleep bracelet
is off. It gets dropped in a coke while Quinn's voice
protests, and
Dustin sleeps.
Closing line: Quinn (unintelligible
babbling), part of Dustin's
hallucination.
