Logan leaves to get the dorm advisor. Zoey and Nicole leave with him to

settle it, while Lola remains behind with Chase. He is admiring her new

boom box - but accidentally knocks it off the railing and it breaks on the

sidewalk below.

Zoey, Nicole, and Logan are inside talking to the boys' dorm advisor - who
agrees with the boys that the roof should be off-limits to girls.  Zoey then
gets mad and says that the girls' lounge is off limits to boys - over Nicole's
objections! Zoey has to go see Dustin anyway - he is in the infirmary with
the chicken pox. Nicole was going to come, but changes her mind when she
learns it is chicken pox.

In the infirmary, Zoey has some good news for Dustin - his roommate has
already had them and he can go back to his room soon. But Dustin doesn't want
to leave - he has a crush on Nurse Shannon, who was just recently hired to
help Nurse Krutcher. Dustin asks Zoey to take a picture of him with Nurse
Shannon before she leaves.

Zoey, Lola, and Nicole are on their own roof. Their roof gets no sun and
smells like squirrel pee. Zoey is coming up with an idea - if they prove to
the boys that the boys can act like boys even with a girl around, maybe they
can go back to being on the boys' roof again. One of them will pretend to be
a guy. Lola jumps at the chance - it is a great acting challenge!  She thinks
it will work because Chase is gullible and Logan is a moron. Still, Zoey
knows they will need inside help - and Michael is the obvious choice.

Zoey enlists Michael's help in Lola's transformation. He will be the "guy
consultant," and will have to pretend to be sick so he can sleep at the
infirmary while Chase and Logan get a temporary roommate. At first Michael is
hesitant, but then he sees the picture of Dustin with Nurse Shannon - and is
all too willing to go be under her care!

The girls proceed with the tranformation. Lola puts on a muscle suit. They
give her a freckled complexion, and black wig. She is very convincing as a
guy, and they pick the name "Steve." Nicole says he is cute enough she would
date him - but Lola kids around like she is going to kiss her!  Nicole shrinks
back in horror!

Michael goes to the infirmary with Chase and Logan. They don't know what is
wrong, but he is really hamming it up to seem sick. Shannon helps him at
first, but she won't be his permanent nurse. She only works with the younger
students - Michael will get Nurse Krutcher (Chase's nurse from The Play)

instead! Nurse Krutcher orders him to bed.

Quinn is working on surveillance glasses for "Steve." She made a fake letter
from Dean Rivers on her high end computer graphics system. She remarks it is
good enough to make French money (mistake - see below). "Steve" should take
the letter to the boys' dorm advisor. But the girls wonder if Lola can really
pull it off - so she spits across the room and burps.

"Steve" walks across the campus - and overacts quite a bit while Quinn, Zoey,
and Nicole watch. "Steve's" cover is almost blown when Lola stops a girl to
compliment her on her top. The boys' dorm advisor, though, buys it - and the
boys give "Steve" Michael's bunk. She tries to talk sports with them, but
messes up the team's cities.

At the infirmary, Dustin is blowing bubbles with Nurse Shannon - while Nurse
Krutcher has Michael submerged to the neck in ice cubes - to lower his fever.

The next morning, Logan gets a call. It is quarter to 8, and the boys need to
hurry to play their game of water basketball. "Steve" makes the mistake of
saying he can swim - so he is immediately drafted to take Michael's place.
Zoey and Nicole wake up Quinn - this is a disaster because there is no way
Lola can carry on the charade in the pool. "Steve" still has the glasses on,
and Zoey and Nicole tell her they have a plan. Quinn has to find "Marvin."
But "Steve's" glasses get knocked into the pool - the end of communication
with the girls. They rush to save Lola from embarrassment!

Nurse Krutcher is feeling Michael's glands - they are swollen.  Still puzzled
about why he is sick, she needs another blood sample - and pulls out a HUGE
needle!

At the pool, the other boys are pressuring Logan and Chase to "play or
forfeit," and they in turn are putting more and more pressure on "Steve" to
change. Zoey and Nicole come to the rescue, but not Quinn.  Whatever Quinn's
plan is - she isn't there! But Quinn arrives with "Marvin" – who may be a
common milk snake - but still scares everybody out of the pool because they
all think it's a coral snake! Unfortunately for "Steve," one boy knocks Lola
into the pool - and the makeup is washed off and the wig comes off.  The boys
immediately know they have been "had." Zoey and Nicole explain why they did
it - "Steve" was with them for a day, and hadn't affected their behavior at
all. Chase says they must really want to hang out on the boys' roof to go to
that length.

Michael is about to sneak out of the infirmary - but Nurse Krutcher will not
have it. She thinks Michael is lying about being well - and sure enough
Michael is itching. He caught the chicken pox from Dustin!

Later, the girls are discussing homework - on the boys' dorm roof where it is
nice and sunny and they can work on their tans again. But they wonder where
Quinn is - Quinn is relaxing by herself on a float in a jacuzzi - with her
friend Marvin the snake!

NOTES:

This episode is a microcosm of episode 1.1 again. It re-establishes Logan as
a villain who is willing to make out with girls, but doesn't really accept
them as equals. As we know from season 1, Logan is not all bad – he saves
Zoey from being expelled in "Prank Week," but promptly alienates her again in
The Play (but not before enchanting her with his acting ability).  Logan as
late has been portrayed as a bit weak - even dull-witted. So it was necessary
to give him back a menacing demeanor and illustrate that Zoey will not win
every test of wills with him. A strong villain will continue to make the show
strong.

Once again Michael is employed as inside help. This happened before in
Webcam. Michael is also the hapless victim again - this time of brutal Nurse
Krutcher and her draconian methods of healing.

The boys' roof once again becomes a set in an episode (last time was 2.3,
"Election"). In that episode, Chase invites Zoey to join him. In this
episode, however, she is less welcome and we actually see Chase taking Logan's
side against the girls being there.

Dan Schneider himself actually confesses to an error: Quinn says she can make
French currency on her laser printer. But there is no more French currency -
the members of the European Union have converted to the "Euro."

Quinn's pet snake "Marvin" is a harmless milk snake, not a coral snake. The
way you can tell the difference is by the order of the stripes: "Red touches
yellow kills a fellow, red touches black venon lack." Although coral snakes
are extremely venomous, their fangs are small and they are not aggressive.
Nevertheless, they should never be approached or handled except by

professionals. Milk snakes, however, are popular as pets - but are nocturnal
and secretive.

OK, guys, this is the episode you have been waiting for. Just like

Unfabulous "The Charity Case" - all the lead female characters in bikinis. It
is undeniable that there is a following among guys for the hot girls - that
is to be expected. I would like to interject: yes, they are gorgeous - but
remember that they are also smart, funny, self confident, and leaders. Don't
be a Logan.

This was also the episode I have been waiting for - a good strong Lola episode
in which Victoria Justice can finally shine. We had a glimpse of her talent
in 2.1, but she has had relatively small parts until now. It is nice to see
her full range of acting ability.
