Today, at the Academy, I barely got there in time for the last half
of class (the reason being that I had a wardrobe fitting for Zoey
that ran a bit late). I only got to do one scene, but it was so
good. I did the Bad Seed, which I hadn’t done in a while.
The
whole thing went so well. I think that it turns out better, and
more spontaneous and real seeming, when you haven’t been practicing
it so much.
When I pushed Bob in the scene, I could hear Dru (in the audience)
say, “Dang!” It was hilarious.
Then, Dorothy, our 89-year-old teacher, stood up and said, “Erin,
you’re an actress. You just won the American National Academy
Award.”
Harhar. I love her.
