Today I went to the Actors' Circle. It was pretty crazy.
What we had to do was to pick an animal, and then incorporate that
animal’s characteristics into our improv. Only we
couldn’t tell our partner what animal we chose.
Well, I chose a cat. The scene started, and I turned to my partner (a
guy), and just sort of looked at him. He was lying on the ground, sort
of upside-down. All of a sudden, he lunged, and started attacking
me!!! Not real-attacking, but it definitely caught me off-guard.
At first I tried to get away, but just ended up fighting back, as a
cat. We were scratching at each other, pulling at each other’s
hair, etc. The whole class was laughing hysterically.
I really wish that they had caught that whole thing on tape.
Oh, and, also, it turned out that my partner’s animal-choice was a
bat. Woopdy-doo.
